De Ruiter Innovations B.V. started as a family business in 1913, in the Dutch village of Hazerswoude Dorp. Within nearly one century growth, it developed into a company that has won international acclaim for its breeding and marketing activities with the main focus on Rose varieties. Since several years De Ruiter is active in breeding and selection of Hypericum varieties and Rose hips varieties for both pot and cut cultivation.

De Ruiter pursues a geographically differentiated introduction strategy. For us as a Rose breeder, this means that we select the varieties as much as possible on the basis of their growth under local growing conditions and the preferences of the various markets.

To make this introduction method possible, De Ruiter has built show and test greenhouses in various parts of the world. The main show and test greenhouses are located in the major production areas, such as the Netherlands, Ecuador and Kenya. In addition, all De Ruiter agencies have a show greenhouse。

Our main products Roses can be further divided into cut Roses, pot Roses and spray Roses. De Ruiter’s Rose varieties are well positioned within the world’s Rose industry.

Since the beginning of the 21st century, De Ruiter has introduced its excellent varieties into Chinese market; all these varieties have outstanding market performance and were well received in the domestic market. One of them, “Attracta” has set a new price record in Kunming International Flora Auction.

De Ruiter has registered all the commercial Rose varieties in China, while developing its business step by step. We do not only introduce Rose varieties but also pay attention to cultivation technology delivery which leads to win-win situation with our clients.
