International Flower Bulb Center
The International Flower Bulb Centre (IFBC) promotes Dutch flower bulbs by means of activities like public relations, product information, exhibitions and promotional material.
The promotional focal points are:
• Education: From the most basic principles of planting the bulb to producing the perfect bulb flower.
• Experimental activities: The reason behind these “hands-on” activities are developing and maintaining a positive image.
• Inspiration / trends: To create added value. Bulbs with a contemporary appeal.
Public relations
Together with an international network of PR agencies, the IFBC publish newspaper and magazine articles and participate in radio and TV programs.
Product information
The IFBC disseminates information to professional forcing operations, landscape architects and educational institutions.
Exhibitions
During exhibitions, the IFBC puts product developments, new trends and the latest developments in the limelight.
Promotional material
The IFBC develops and produces promotional material in many languages to support retailers.
In general, the activities of the IFBC are carried out in the interests of growers, brokers and exporters. These are the groups who benefit from the IFBC’s promotional efforts. To make these activities possible, growers, brokers and exporters contribute to a common fund in the form of a standard amount in proportion to their production and turnover.
