Since a long time RijnPlant has been well known and appreciated for its high quality Anthurium, Bougainvillea and Calathea varieties. RijnPlant is involved in all links of the supply chain, which includes breeding, selection and multiplication, but also production and marketing of end products. By this fact, RijnPlant knows exactly what its customers need; we don’t only offer young plants, we offer a whole service package that includes also cultivation support and marketing support. All our varieties are developed in our modern R&D facilities in the Netherlands and protected by plant breeder rights. Via production facilities in The Netherlands, U.S.A. and China we export our young plants to customers worldwide.

RijnPlant is a family-owned business founded by Leo van Rijn Sr. in Delft (The Netherlands) in 1944. In the late 1980’s the company started its own breeding, selection and multiplication programs for flowering pot plants. Through the years product innovations are achieved by a continuous process of quality improvements and selection.

Our Dutch pot plant customers cooperate in ‘RijnPlant Group’. This group has been the first growers collective in the Netherlands that has been certified for MPS-Florimark. This worldwide recognized certificate is the highest attainable one in the horticulture industry. Our newly set-up company Global Grow Services can give further support to our growers by means of the GrowWatch® plant monitoring system; mobile climate system to measure physical and biological factors of the plant environment. This service is offered to our customers worldwide and benefits to improved growing conditions.

RijnPlant started its first business with China in 2002. Being the first breeder to give exclusive right on the cultivation of varieties to Chinese growers, we offer customers a great advantage since their products are more unique and recognizable in the market. From 2008 on, when Anthurium was introduced on the list of plant genus that can be protected under PBR, RijnPlant is introducing a significant part of its collection of more than 200 varieties, which includes both pot plant as well as cut flower varieties of Anthurium andreanum.

April 2009, RijnPlant CHN Co., Ltd. (a 100% subsidiary of RijnPlant International B.V.) opened its young plant production and research facility in Shanghai. The facility in Shanghai is equipped with the latest technology in the field of horticulture production to contribute to environmentally friendly production management. From this production base we will supply all our customers in Southeast Asia with high quality rooted young plants.

2009年4月，由瑞恩国际公司在上海全资的子公司瑞恩中国公司成立，主要进行种苗生产和设备研究。瑞恩中国公司在上海的设施将采用在园艺生产领域的最新的技术成果，采用对环境友好型的生产管理模式。从这个生产基地，瑞恩将为东南亚的客户提供最具高品质的种苗。
