The Dutch company Terra Nigra specializes in the breeding of gerbera’s and cut roses. In the Netherlands the company also owns a lab to propagate gerbera young plants and cooperates with two labs abroad for this same activity.

In the Netherlands Terra Nigra takes care of growing gerbera and rose young plants and owns test and show greenhouses as well as a distribution department. In the United States Terra Nigra has established a sales department which is responsible for the US and South America and also India. In Kenya Terra Nigra breeds, tests, and shows their varieties to growers and also manages a sales office.

Terra Nigra build a worldwide network for it gerbera and rose varieties. Terra Nigra is famous as innovator of gerbera flowers and was the first company to introduce the Germini variety. Now Gerrondo will be added to its achievements. Regarding rose breeding, Terra has been market leader with its red rose cultivar Grand Prix, the biggest red rose for already eleven years.
