Van den Berg Roses

Family company Van den Berg Roses was established in 1975. Many years of rose growing experience and excellent products resulted in a leading position among other rose growers. Being one of the five major rose producers in the Netherlands, the roses produced by Van den Berg occupy a superior position in the market and are of good quality, have large flower buds, a long vase life and a stable output. Van den Berg Roses has nurseries in the Netherlands (200 mu) and Kenya (1.100 mu).

In June 2007 Van den Berg Roses started building a nursery in China (in Yiliang county, Yunnan Province) and in November that year the first roses were planted. In China, Van den Berg will provide its customers all year round with roses of excellent quality.

The current nursery in China measures 53 mu. Here Van den Berg has installed a hot water boiler to heat a central heating system and uses Priva’s modern computer controlled greenhouse technology. The company assigned Geerlofs to design and build a 300 m2 cold store. The selected rose varieties are from Tantau and Olij, two of the leading rose breeders in the world. The roses are grown on coco peat, the water used for irrigation is being recycled in order to reduce the use of fertilizer and pollution of the natural environment.

Regarding flower certification, Van den Berg possesses the MPS-A, MPS-GAP, MPS-ETI and ISO certificates. These certificates show Van den Berg is a company which complies with the laws and regulations related to the relevant organizations in the horticultural sector and the ILO. Van den Berg Roses guarantees a safe working environment and the legitimate rights and interests of its employees, such as health care, environmental safety, working hours etc. The nursery in Yiliang is being managed by experienced rose grower Mr. Cok Harteveld. He and his team will do their utmost to grow excellent roses in China while using environmentally friendly methods.

方德波尔格于2007年6月开始建设在中国的种植基地（位于云南省宜良县）， 并于当年11月种下了第一批玫瑰。在中国，方德波尔格将全年向客户供应高品质的玫瑰。

第一期的种植面积为53亩。在这里，我们拥有以热水锅炉为中心的加热系统，Priva先进的温室环控技术（由计算机自动控制温室里的水肥供应、温度、湿度、通风、日照率等等），Geerlofs设计和建设的300平方米冷库。我们选育的品种来自于世界三大玫瑰育种商中的Tantau和Olij。玫瑰种植在椰糠上，灌溉用水可再循环利用，既节约了水肥，又不污染自然环境。

花卉认证方面，方德波尔格玫瑰拥有MPS-A认证，MPS-ETI、GAP和ISO认证。这些认证表明我们遵照有关机构和国际劳工组织的相关法令，保障员工的安全生产环境及正当权益，其中包括员工健康，环境安全及工作时间等等。
